Ginger, mustard and foxes

I’ve been having fun sewing!

Fabrics inspire me, and this upholstery weight cotton is so well designed with its cute, yet somehow very elegant, pattern of foxes.

My favourite is Mr Gray Fox on a mustard yellow, so I made him into a tie top bag, seen here with my pink crochet inside (perhaps not the best colour to put inside a mustard bag, but hey ho) …

But, I do also love Mr Ginger Fox on light brown, so I made him into a tote bag …

They’re both fully lined, with a sturdy cream coloured cotton, and both bags have pockets inside, made with the matching foxy fabric.

I’m really pleased with them, and both are now for sale in my Folksy Shop

Here are a few close ups:

Personally, I love the tie top bag. It has a squared base and is very roomy. To fasten, you just tie the two long sides together at the top, and it keeps your stuff snug. It’s great for carrying books, but also makes a lovely craft bag as it holds a good amount of yarn.

Foxes, love ’em!
